JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist the instructor in implementing a preschool program for children and families in the McKenzie Little Eagles Childcare Center.
DUTIES
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Curriculum implementation
- Classroom management
- Assisting with parent meetings
- Daily classroom tasks
- Work closely with program staff to help students enter school ready to learn.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred
- Associate's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field and/or relevant experience.
Required
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience working with children ages 3-5 and their families
- Valid Oregon driver's license
- Current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Food Handler's Card
- Ability to complete required Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) training upon hire
- Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in Oregon Registry Online (ORO) professional development system.
- Ability to register with the Oregon Central Background Registry
WORK SCHEDULE
4 days per week, 24-32 hours. Classroom hours are approximately 7:45 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Some evening parent meetings and professional development may be required. Must be available to training and workshops.
SALARY
$18.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on experience, grant guidelines, and budget.
Grant-funded positions are not part of OSEA Chapter No. 74.
